SquishFoot™ Self-Adjusting Foot Extrusion Endcap

Function

SquishFoot™ 20x20mm endcap uses modelling clay (plasticene) as a compliant medium to automatically adjust and even out foot length for all four vertical extrusion legs. Use a bubble level and simply push down on the top of your factory robot to level it out in X and Y. Tighten M5 screws when done.

SquishFoot™ only uses two faces of the extrusion. The other two faces are flush to the extrusion, leaving those faces free for other attachments, etc.

Requires

  • M5x10mm screw (1 or 2)
  • M5 extrusion nut (1 or 2)
  • Modelling clay

Assembly

  1. Insert M5 screws
  2. Attach extrusion nuts loosely to M5 screws
  3. Add a blob of modelling clay to the inside bottom of the foot. Too big and it will squish out. Too little and you won't get a lot of play.
  4. Slide foot onto extrusion but do not tighten M5 screws
  5. Repeat with other feet
  6. Use a bubble level and push down on the high spots till your robot is level
  7. Tighten M5 screws
