Although many M3X accessories can be easily pivoted for attachment, that very pivoting motion does not work well for some accessories that cannot be rotated for attachment. The M3X Latch provides the convenience of M3X post-assembly accessory attachment without requiring that the accessory be pivoted into place.

The M3X Latch requires special care during assembly to avoid breaking the M3X nut. Normal M3X accessories enclose the M3X nut in a rectangular hole that maintains M3X nut integrity. The M3X Latch holds the M3X nut on only two sides, which leaves the other two sides unsupported. To address this lack of support, you MUST insert the M3X Latch into the accessory before attaching the M3X nut--the accessory provides the support required to hold the M3X nut without breakage.
