Warning

To install blendermania, do this:

  1. Open the latest blender
  2. Click on the edit option (top left corner)
  3. Click on preferences
  4. Click on addons
  5. Click on install from file
  6. Select the downloaded blendermania...zip file
  7. Enable blendermania (might be enabled by default?)

Where can i find the addon in blender?

The addon is located in the 3d viewport, in the right side panel, you can open it with N. The addon is located in a vertical 90° rotated tab called Blendermania.

Nadeo.ini

Blendermania needs to know where the Nadeo.ini file is located, on startup the addon is searching the most used trackmania & maniaplanet installation paths, if not found, select the file by yourself(located next to Maniaplanet.exe / Trackmania2020.exe).

Configure your defaults

  • Blender & Addon: version of blender and the addon (check update button & debug button)
    • update icon will check for new update (also happens on startup)
    • text icon will debug all addon settings and open then in a .txt file with notepad (dev/bug relevant only)
  • Buttons below: will open either a website or a folder on your computer
  • Author: your nickname which will be displayed on for example ItemExchange(IX)
  • Game: Maniaplanet and Trackmania2020 are supported, choose your target game
  • Ini File: select your Nadeo.ini file (see above)
  • Open work will open Documents?/Trackmania/Work/Items/ (fbx files here)
  • Open assets will open the Documents?/Trackmania/Items/_BlenderAssets/ (addon textures, etc)

Blender related settings

  • Snap will set the placement snapping in blender (press ctrl to activate in 3d view)
  • Grid is just for visualisation in blender
  • Start defines the viewport camera clip start (distance when stuff should start render)(max for very huge objects)
  • End defines the viewport camera clip end (distance when stuff should end render)(max for very huge objects)

NadeoImporter

Note

The addon itself is not converting your objects(exported .fbx files) to the game files(.gbx), a program called NadeoImporter.exe by nadeo is used for that. The latest versions are shipped with the addon, so a install is just a click. You might install the latest version.
