Raspberry PI Port

I am brand new to the project but I can see there are some issues for my friends who are not technically inclined. I'd like to suggest we create a Raspberry Pi port of the project and am willing to lead the coding effort. I am wondering what documentation is available on the receiver? I think it also makes sense to submit the project to the raspberry pi foundation as there will be a lot of folks that want to help.
