Opening this WIP PR to track progress on issue #1323.

Add image attributes (currently just scatter trace, though expecting it to be straightforward to copy/paste to others)
Wrap text.nums inside an extra g element
Implement multiple text elements inside hover
Interleave text and image elements inside hover
Async loading of images

Going to close this PR in favor of an alternative external HTML and CSS approach.
