Supported satellites

Sanchez can process images created from all geostationary satellites. The following satellites have configuration defined in the Resources\Satellites.json file. To add or update satellites, see Satellite identification.

Support in the table below is largely based on the accuracy of the Crop bounds defined in the Satellites.json file. Please raise an issue or create a PR if you are able to provide more accurate crop values for any of these satellites.

If you are able to source 1km spatial resolution images, these are preferable to use in order to gain the most accurate crop values. When using 1km spatial resolution images, use -r 1 to ensure matching output image sizes, in combination with using the the world.200412.3x21600x10800.jpg underlay via -u.

If using 0.5 spatial resolution images, use -r 0.5 and the 0.5km underlay from the separate underlays repository.
