WikiNightscoutUploadersWhat upload devices work best?

You will need an internet connected android device to run the dexcom-uploader software on. This device will connect to your dexcom receiver via a OTG usb cable. The android device will upload your data to your mongodb database. Your mongodb database must be internet connected (mongolabs is) and the same with your android device. The below is a list of devices we have run the dexcom-uploader software on. It should run on the majority of android devices but we have tested it on the below devices.

  • Visual Land Android Tablet
  • Motorola Droid Razr M (has an advantage as is more portable then a tablet)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tablet
  • Lenovo Miix 2
  • LG G2
  • Moto G
  • G-Box Midnight MX2
  • MK808B Android Stick
  • Samsung Galaxy s3 smart phone

See the Master list for the most recent information Master uploader list

If you want to test with other Android devices just make sure they have a mini usb port. Please test with other android devices. It would be outstanding to see the above list expanded. While the the Pebble can consume nightscout notifications it can't be used as an uploader yet.

What devices have we confirmed NOT to work?

*Sprint Samsung Galaxy S2 *Samsung Galaxy mini smart phone

PS. Some Android phones will need to be rooted but most will not need this.
