i just received an email from getsatisfaction saying that they are shutting their doors at the end of june2020. i would suggest that if you see any comments worthwhile on that site, then grab them for posting on some future comment site.

i would offer to export the getsatisfaction data and share it with the open source team, but unfortunately my concerns around GDPR (and the rights to the email addresses in that data) prevent me from doing so.

GDPR was a big reason we decided to stop Qiqqa from being maintained commercially.

GetSatisfaction main website says: "Get Satisfaction has been acquired by Sprinklr." No news about discontinuation there, but the qiqqa forum there has been filling up with link spammers anyway, so I'll run a quick mirror and we'll see how we'll proceed from there... 🤔

Unfortunately I had made a getsatisfaction web pages mirroring run, but it is b0rked here locally it turns out thanks to a failing SSD. Unless someone else has made a (partial?) copy, we're SOL. 😭

…b0rked, all that was left was grabbing what reamined in the search engine caches (used the BING 'cached' option). HTML pages have been roughly cleaned after the fact. GS pages are a mess, though. :-( 'fixes' jimmejardine#218

… cleanup. The original HTML files from BING are not included in the repo as they're huge and quite messy, only loading the repo to no use. -- getsatisfaction was totally nuked. As an earlier site mirror run got b0rked, all that was left was grabbing what remained in the search engine caches (used the BING 'cached' option). HTML pages have been roughly cleaned after the fact. GS pages are a mess, though. :-( 'fixes' jimmejardine#218

See the two commits above: salvaged at least part of the history there via indirect means (Bing cache grab).

As GS is nuked by the new owners and I don't have any more bright ideas right now 😉 I consider this issue closed.

If there's anything new, best to add it in a new issue and reference this one (#218).
