With my dotfiles I offer you a theme for Firefox, simple, elegant and minimalist with the OneDark color scheme.

Setting up the startup page

The first time you open your Firefox browser after installing my dotfiles, you will notice the error that the page was not found.

You need to edit 2 files to customize the Firefox theme and the startup page

Go to ~/.local/share/startup-page/ and open config.js file

Change the name gh0stzk to whatever name you want.

This is not needed anymore, the installer do it for you.

To have your correct location and the weather corresponds to your location, it must be automatic, but if it is incorrect you need to edit the parameters defaultLatitude and defaultLongitude within that same file.

You can obtain these values from different pages on the internet, just by entering your location, here is the one I used. https://www.coordenadas.com.es/

Finally, for the error that the page was not found, to disappear, you need to open the file ~/.mozilla/firefox/xxxx.default-release/user.js

Search this url file:///home/z0mbi3/.local/share/startup-page/index.html Change z0mbi3 for your home linux username.

This is not needed anymore, the installer do it for you.

You are done.

I don't want the firefox theme

If you do not want the Firefox theme, you have to delete the necessary files to leave it as default

  1. Delete the "Chrome" directory and the file "user.js" located at ~/.mozilla/firefox/####.default-release/ Where #### are random numbers.

  2. If you had your firefox theme, this will be in .RiceBackup folder in your home, just copy it again.

Restart firefox and you are done.
