(2022) How to use the Breeding Bot

For anyone in 2022 reading this, I've managed to get the breeding bot to work. Its a little janky but it does the trick.

Before you even try to use it:

1.) Install Luma3DS 3GX, version 10.3.

2.) Install the InputRedirection .cia file on your 3DS. Ignore the fact that Luma has its own Input Redirection function, it will not work for the bot.

3.) Download the InputRedirection Client, this is needed for the bot to actually move.

4.) Port-Forward your Router. Open Port 8000 under TCP and 8001 under UDP.

5.) Turn off your PC's Firewalls when you use the bot.

Steps to get it to work:

1.) Turn on 3DS.

2.) Launch BootNTR Selector. Select 3.6 and let the system reboot.

3.) Once you've returned to the Home Menu, run the InputRedirection app.

4.) When that closes and returns you to the Home Menu, press the X & Y buttons at the same time to open the NTR Menu. Enable Debugger and close the menu.

5.) Run Pokémon X/Y/OR/AS/S/M/US/UM.

6.) Once in-game, go online.

7.) Once you're online, open the PKMN-NTR and InputRedirection programs on your computer. Type your 3DS's IP address into the IP section in the bottom right of PKMN-NTR, and in InputRedirection by pressing F1 and pressing escape when you finish typing it in (the 3DS IP can be found by pressing L+Down+Select to open the Luma Menu and enabling the Debugger. The IP will be in the top right of the bottom screen. Be sure to disable the Debugger once you finish.). Be sure that your 3DS is on the same network as your Computer.

8.) Once you're connected, position your character in-front of the Daycare person (who you would receive eggs from). Make sure you only have one Pokémon in your party.

9.) Select "Breeding Bot" on PKMN-NTR and fill out the settings as desired.

10.) Run the bot and everything should work as designed!

A common problem I've come across is that the bot will overshoot the Daycare person (I play with Pokémon X). If this happens just nudge him back over to a place just before the daycare person. They should fix themselves and move to talk to the Daycare person.

Hopefully this helps anyone who wants automated breeding in a semi-still-relevant Pokémon game!
