Forecasts

Forecasts can be used to simulate business cases and create predictive analyses of business data. Forecasts work in the following areas:

  • Entering forecast specific business cases
  • Execution of forecast payruns
  • Evaluation of forecast payrun results

Forecast case data is not considered by the legally valid payruns.

The following examples assume a running Engine Backend Server and a running Web Application Server.

In the user administration the feature Forecasts can be used to determine the availability.

Forecast data

In order to enter data for a forecast, a name for the forecast is determined when the case is created. The name is freely selectable and can also be used to create multiple case changes for a forecast.

Forecast Case

The web application offers a history of forecast names to choose from.

Forecast payrun jobs

The Payroll Engine distinguishes between legally valid and forecast payruns. The legally valid payrun goes through a multi-stage approval process. As long as this process is not completed, parallel payruns are not possible. Jobs from forecast payruns are executed and completed immediately. Any number of forecast payruns are possible within one wage period.

Forecast Payrun

Data from previous payruns can be used as a template for a forecast payrun.

Forecast analysis

The results of forecast payruns can be filtered by various criteria in the data grid and downloaded in Excel format.

Reports from legally valid payruns can also be used for forecast payruns.
