Engineering consists of building, setting the atmosphere and the power system, and electronics.

Building

You can find most constructions in two autolathes on the image above (small one is for tiles, larger one is for other constructions, like tables). To build a construction, click on a construction item in your hand. To build walls and windows, click on the metal or glass in your hand and then on nearby tile.
This is a vending machine from which you can get metal and glass.

  • Saw can quickly cut various already-built structures.
  • Welding tool can melt walls, windows and other structures.
  • Screwdriver can be used to adjust the power supplied to lamps and APCs.
  • Wrench can fasten and unfasten some structures.

Setting the atmosphere

This is a handheld remote for scrubbers and vents.

This is a handheld atmospherics analyzer.

Power

APCs take power from the SMES and distribute it to machinery (wireless devices). Solars generate power and distribute it to APCs.

Electronics

In this room you can make your own chip and put it into a robot or some other kind of machinery.

Floppy disks (red square items on table) contain an AI program which can be installed onto bots.

Two machinery objects on the right (with green screens) assemble chips (green square item on the table) from components.

Machinery object near APC (with wires exposed) is a machinery hull into which you can install a chip or an AI program.

Vending machines in this room contain pre-built chips and tools.

Radio

This is a main radio handler. You can change channels on intercoms by clicking on them.

Brown-colored boxes mounted on walls are intercoms.
