Welcome to the "Exploring AD Pathology to Enhance Treatment: A CFD Study" repository!

Overview

This repository contains the results of our Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) study focused on Aortic Dissection (AD) pathology to enhance treatment strategies. Our study employs advanced simulation techniques to analyze blood flow dynamics within the vessel affected by AD, aiming to provide insights for further validating a new non-invasive treatment.

Results

1. Flow Visualization

2. Hemodynamic Parameters

Figure 2: Analysis of hemodynamic parameters, including flow velocity, pressure distribution, WSS and OSI, providing valuable insights into the pathology.

3. Comparative Studies

Figure 3: Comparative analysis of flow dynamics between AD-affected vessels and treated with Aortyx patch, illustrating differences in false lumen flow ratio between differents scenarios.
