Discord Dice Roller bot

A discord bot that allows you to roll a dice via chat commands. Built as an exercise to learn Python and how discord bots work

Configuring a Discord bot

• todo: notes on how to create a bot via Discord developer portal

Setup locally with venv (recommended)

- pip3 install -r requirements.txt

• rename .env.example to .env and insert your Discord token

Running locally

python3 bot.py

Usage

Once installed into your Discord server, send any of the following chat messages to trigger a dice roll

/roll
/roll 4
/roll 2d6
