Installation

Installing Hammer should be pretty simple for most people. You simply install a custom launcher if you don't already use one, and then install it through Modrinth.

These steps are made for Prism Launcher, however it should be somewhat similar on most other launchers, especially MultiMC.

Download and install your launcher

To use Hammer, you will need:

  • A launcher that can install Modrinth packs, preferably Prism Launcher
  • A Java distribution such as Adoptium (recommended for most people, more information on this is near the end of post install page)

Simply download and install both. This process should be relatively simple.

Install the modpack

There are two main ways to install Hammer.

Normal

Simply click "Add instance" and then click the Modrinth tab. Search Hammer and choose the version you would like.

After, click "OK" and you will have a fresh instance of Hammer. After that, I recommend adding mods like TexTrue's Embeddium Options and Mod Menu. Then, follow post install.

Auto-Updating

On MultiMC and Prism Launcher, you can install an instance that will automatically update to the latest version of Hammer on launch.

Just download one from here. After that, drag it into Prism/MultiMC and install.

This instance will now download the necessary files every time you launch. Do keep in mind that AU is experimental! You may sometimes have possible data loss, though this is not likely to happen. Keep backups of important things.
