Hi there,

I'm Shinjini (she / her), a neuroscientist by training and looking to move into data science full-time.

  • 👩‍🎓 I earned my PhD in 2020 from the University of Edinburgh. Completed my MSc by Research & BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences also from the University of Edinburgh before that.
  • 💼 I currently work at the University of Bristol studying circuit dysfunction in pre-clinical models of autsim spectrum disorders.
  • 🧪 My experimental expertise includes RNA-sequencing, Electrophsiology, Optogenetics, Animal Behaviour and Confocal microscopy.
  • 💻 I recently completed a Data Science and Machine learning course from iO Academy. My analytical experience includes coding in Python, Matalb and IgorPro.
  • 📈 My statistical experience includes SPSS, Graphpad Prism and Statsmodels (Python).
  • 🌱 I’m currently learning how to use UMAP for transcriptomic analysis in Python.
