This issue is being created just so this doesn't get forgotten.

README has a section on how to integrate libtelnet with some MUD code bases, but that is still unwritten.

I recently integrated fluffos with libtelnet. I can probably write up
something wrt this topic.

We might also want to point at clc (https://github.com/elanthis/clc) or include it as an example for how to integrate with client applications.

Was there ever any followup regarding the unwritten documentation? This is something I'm looking forward to reading :-)

Nothing I'm aware of. Given my current commitments it'll likely have to be contributed by someone else; I haven't touched MUD programming in many years.
