Fig. 1: Additive Composition. Label overlay intensity can be dimmed two ways: (1) make the label colors darker, (2) change their alpha value. Each pixel has an independent alpha value which enables highlighting individual labels by simple changing their corresponding alpha value in the label-index to ARGB color lookup table. Note that this mode leads to 'bleached' intensities of the underlying EM data if the label intensity is stronger.
