asdf-ruby on macOS 12.6 Apple Silicon with rb 3.1.3 fails with install latest

Steps to reproduce the behavior

On macOS 12.6.2 running on Apple Silicon rbenv install 3.1.3 fails.

Expected vs. actual behavior

Should install - does not.

Thanks for calling my attention to that lengthy thread. Hmmm. Re-enabling SIP is definitely not an option for our situations (we have several folks at our office that run without SIP and we will not re-enable it)... So it appears that if things develop further with the clang option then that may be the right path.

I also found that I was able to use rom (https://www.rubyonmac.dev/) which installed both Ruby 2.7.7 and 3.1.3 successfully out of the box:

I'm also unable to get the install to work on MacOS 13.1 with an Apple M1 Max processor

Try arch -arm64 rbenv install 3.1.3, worked for me. A rule of thumb that I follow is if something doesn't work specifically for M1 Mac, I'll just try the same command prefixed with arch -arm64
