Expected vs. actual behavior

Expected to get Ruby 2.6.10 installed however build is failing as BUILD FAILED (macOS 12.6.1 using ruby-build 20221025)

Thank you @hsbt . I uninstalled the command line tools for Xcode 14 and installed command line tools for Xcode 13.4 and everything worked smoothly.

How did you downgrade Command Line Tools? Everything I have searched for on this topic is for older OS versions.

I did not downgrade the Command Line Tools but the whole OS version

@careyestes There are some instructions on how to downgrade Xcode, but I think that will only work if you aren't already on macOS Ventura.

Note that the latest stable Ruby 2.7.x–3.1.x versions (recently released) work around Xcode 14 problems, so downgrading shouldn't be necessary. However, there are no fixes for Ruby 2.6.x since it's EOL.
