What kind of mapping are you referring to? As this project is about building an ontology to model Plazi's data on treatments and taxonomy, I think terms from rdfs and owl like owl:sameAs, owl:equivalentClass, owl:equivalentProperty should be used to define the ontology rather than
skos:closeMatch, skos:exactMatch. The latter are closer to the instance data as this describes taxonomic entities, we could recommend usage of SKOS terms or extend them, but in my opionion we should not use them to describe the ontology itself.
