How long should it take to get accepted into the program?

I had applied to the GitHub sponsors program around 3 weeks ago, and I've been checking as frequent as I can for an update. I filled out all my details correctly, and it's been stuck on pending since. Some people told me it takes around a week, others only a few days.
Does this mean I was declined? Do I need to re-submit my application? Should I keep waiting? I don't know what to do.

It also states in the official documentation that sometimes they would email people if they needed any further information to continue the process, and I haven't received any emails either.

Are Open Source Collective and Open Collective different platforms? I'll attempt to continue setting it up and I'll get back to you when I can and I'll also update the information.

It seems that the EmotesPlus collective is now public and visible, is this the correct information you need to verify? (Or am I still missing something else)

once approved for GitHub Sponsors, you need to complete the steps that you will see in your Sponsors Dashboard, once you completed it, it will be submitted to the Staff for review and approval, and as for me, I just had it yesterday, the gap between submitting once all steps are completed to approving and making it live is I think just 3 hours for me

I learned that I missed a couple of steps and to use a fiscal host apparantly I need 100+ stars or an extensive amount of commit history and community which I will be working on. Congrats on getting in the program though 🤜🤛

After approval for GitHub Sponsors, follow steps in Dashboard. Once completed, submission undergoes staff review. In my case, this process took around three (3) hours from submission to approval and making the sponsorship live.

You also have the option of removing the fiscal host from your profile until you're more established on the platform. We can always get you set up with a Stripe Connect account as an option. Would you like to remove your fiscal host listed? If so, you will have the capability to set up and verify your Stripe Connect account.

That is amazing to hear! I've setup a Patreon to receive sponsors, and I have re-applied. If it's possible to replace my previous sponsor method with Patreon that would be great!!

One last question, do my patreon tiers have to somehow link to GitHub or are they fine as-is?

Hi @byeoon I checked your Sponsors profile and a fiscal host is still listed. You will still need to set up a verified Stripe Connect account or be approved on Open Source Collective to receive sponsorships before we are able to publish your Sponsors profile. Would you like to remove the fiscal host for now?
