Genesys 2 UART port disables on connect #2308

Issue or PR is stale and hasn't received any updates.
Not sure if this is related to CVA6 or the board, but I would love to hear your comments or ideas.
I managed to program my Genesys 2 board with CVA6. Then I used one of the precompiled Ariane images and flashed an SD card. While connected to the UART port on the board, I booted the system and everything worked. However, when trying another Linux (Keystone), the UART would stop working as soon as I connected the cable.
I then tried the old SD card which had previously worked, but the same issue arose: when connecting the cable, the UART stops working and I'm not able to connect (the LED's turn off as well). I tested multiple cables and multiple computers without any luck.
I understand this could be an issue with the board itself, but could there be anything in CVA6 disabling the port? Any tips or ideas would be very much appreciated!
