A new metrics API is part of the specification and there is also an otep covering various scenarios that would be good to test with some actual code.

The components to be implemented in the prototype:

  • instruments
  • aggregators
  • views
  • exporters
  • processors

I would love to help out, is there anything that needs to be done? @ocelotl, you already started implementing this, right?
