:target: https://pypi.org/project/opentelemetry-ext-aiohttp-client/

This library allows tracing HTTP requests made by the
`aiohttp client<https://docs.aiohttp.org/en/stable/client.html>`_ library.

Installation
------------

::

pip install opentelemetry-ext-aiohttp-client

Usage
-----

.. code-block:: python
import aiohttp
import asyncio
from opentelemetry.ext.aiohttp_client import create_trace_config
async def fetch(session, url):
async with session.get(url) as response:
return await response.text()
async def main():
async with aiohttp.ClientSession(trace_configs=[create_trace_config()]) as session:
html = await fetch(session, 'https://www.example.org')
print(html)
if __name__ == '__main__':
loop = asyncio.get_event_loop()
loop.run_until_complete(main())
