For this the standalone backend will need to:

  • Read the filename from the input arguments and open it
  • Register file associations - this probably needs some fiddling with cpack

The first half of this (supporting "Open With") has been done, but we don't register file associations yet. Since we're phasing out the installer anyway (where this would be done), I'm going to close this issue.
