I also forgot to run towncrier, so there's no 1.0.0b0 entry in the log either.

I need to

  • add a doit task to run towncrier --draft to lint fragments.
  • run towncrier --yes in CI to verify fragments.
  • fail the CD pipeline if the tagged version is missing from CHANGELOG.md or towncrier fragments are left in changelog.d

Update the changelog after the fact.

This should have been part of the 1.0.0b0 release. Include the file in the distribution; see #4.
