You can use the script to compile newer versions of these tools if you like, however when it comes to "official releases", I know these versions work, and you're writing a bare bones operating system...do the features of the newer toolchain versions really apply to you?

Note: the precompiled Linux tools don't appear to work on Ubuntu 20.04 (at least for me). If you experience any issues I can confirm that compiling it yourself works fine
