My Neighborhood

This project was built using Python 3.6 and Django.

DESCRIPTION

This is a web application allows you to be in the loop about everything happening in your neighborhood. From contact information of different handyman to meeting announcements or even alerts.

User Story

  • Users need to Sign in to the application to start using it

  • Users can Set up a profile about them and a general location and their neighborhood name

  • Users Find a list of different businesses in my neighborhood.

  • Users can search for different businesses in their neighborhood.

  • Users can Find Contact Information for the health department and Police authorities near my neighborhood.

  • Users can Change their neighborhood when I decide to move out.

  • Users can Only view details of a single neighborhood.

SETUP/INSTALLATION.

Prerequisites

To work with My Neighborhood App you need to have some few prerequisites.

  • Python3.6

  • pip

  • Django

  • Virtual environment (virtualenv)

  • Code/text editor

  • Terminal

To work With My Neighborhood

  1. You will need Internet connection.

  2. You will also need python installed and knowledge of python

  3. To get to use My Neighborhood first you need to get to the My Neighborhood repository.

  1. From there you can access My Neighborhood App.

  2. Clone the project.

  3. Once you done with cloning and project is on your device.

  4. get into project folder (cd into project).

  5. Installing Django and other Modules

    python3.6 -m pip install Django python3.6 -m pip install Django-Bootstrap4 python3.6 -m pip install -r requirements.txt

  6. On your bash terminal Run the command:-

run:

  • $ python3.6 manage.py runserver
