You can use John Marks' Eight-Five-Zero template to help Zim render a nice clean responsive layout for desktop and mobile browsers.

The Ecodiv-responsive template offers another example (originally based on John Marks' template). It renders a layout that adapts to the screen size of your device and includes a collapsible navigation menu at the left (large screens) or on top (small screens).

Another example is the Ecodiv-mobile template. This is a mobile first theme, but it also looks good on your desktop.

Look at the Templates page in the manual for instructions for adding a 3rd-party template. See Config Files for the correct path in Windows.
