Reporting a Vulnerability

We take the security of our project seriously. If you discover a security vulnerability, please follow these steps to report it:

  1. Do not report security vulnerabilities through public GitHub issues.
  2. Send an email to the project maintainers with the details of the vulnerability.
  3. Your report should include:
    • A clear and concise description of the issue.
    • Steps to reproduce the vulnerability, including any relevant code or configuration settings.
    • The potential impact of the vulnerability.
    • Any possible solutions or mitigations you can think of.
  4. The maintainers will review the vulnerability and work on a fix or mitigation as necessary. During this process, they may ask for more information or clarification about the vulnerability.
  5. Once a fix or mitigation is in place, an update will be released, and the issue will be disclosed in the release notes.

We appreciate your efforts to responsibly disclose your findings and will make every effort to acknowledge your contributions.

Responsible Disclosure Policy

We kindly ask that you follow these guidelines when reporting a security vulnerability:

  • Allow reasonable time for the maintainers to address the vulnerability before disclosing it to the public or a third party.
  • Do not use the vulnerability for any malicious activities or to exploit it in any way.
  • Avoid posting sensitive information or details about the vulnerability in public forums, such as social media or chat platforms.

By following these guidelines, you can help ensure the security and stability of our project and protect our users.
