Hi @ayushrakesh,

It looks like you're a new member of the cloud native community and your GitHub profile shows you are getting involved in many different projects concurrently. Welcome!

Istio isn't currently staffed to mentor new contributors. If you are specifically looking to get involved with contributing to Istio, you are welcome to drop by our Slack with specific questions. We'll try and guide you, but ultimately we don't assign issues, we aren't able to help you get up to speed with the contribution process (though will happily take feedback on the documentation), and we may not be the best "first project" for a very new contributor.

My advice to you is, to pick a single project — my advice is to pick one you use — and look to get involved there. Being scattershot like you are at the moment will just make more work for maintainers, and you are unlikely to get good guidance.

Otherwise, I understand the CNCF has new contributor mentorship processes.

Best of luck!

Thank you @craigbox, recently I have made 5 PR's for the same issue, actually the same linting test is failing. That's why I this problem occured, a fresh new #15306 PR is now opened, can you please review it.

Part of good hygiene in a community like this is to learn how the test infrastructure works, and fix issues within the PR, instead of raising new PRs.

(You should also check the maintainer workload and expectation on review time, rather than asking for immediate turnaround.)
