Since version 2024.08.18, OpenDTU-OnBattery supports using Pytes V5, Pytes 48100R and Pytes 4850 batteries using the Victron protocol via CAN

User @AndreasBoehm was kind enough to spend a lot of time reverse engineering the Pytes Victron CAN protocol at https://github.com/AndreasBoehm/PytesCANProtocol

DIP Switches should be in their default position (Victron setting) and nothing should be adjusted in the console.

It is also possible to configure the CAN protocol via the Pytes Battery serial console (using a Cisco-compatible serial to USB cable):
