I have another issue about this (at least), but that takes on every problem related to this, which essentially made it a impossible problem.

  • Use the timezone config setting if set, default to UTC, allow "local" as the timezone identifier
  • The above can obviously be set per language.
  • I will only tackle the configured front matter dates for now, and only those returned as a string from the YAML/JSON/TOML unmarshaler.

If someone knows how to improve the last bullet, please advice (but be concrete, I'm not looking for "what if you try to ...?" solutions).
