This pull request will update to project files to enable the project to be built against the .Net Standard/.Net Core. The project will now build in Visual Studio 2019 or using the 'dotnet' command from any supported platform. I have tested it on Linux (Ubuntu) but I do not have access to a Mac so I cannot test it on macOS.
I have not tested it, but I do not believe it is compatible with Mono anymore, not that it should be an issue.
