Steps to reproduce

  1. Find someone you haven't messaged yet who also doesn't have an avatar set
  2. Click "Message" to start a local room with them
  3. Note the avatar colour.
  4. Actually send a message to create the room.
  5. Note the avatar colour.

Outcome

What did you expect?

Consistency.

Purple is the correct colour for this user.

For 1-1 rooms this is solvable by implementing public getAvatarFallbackMember(): RoomMember on LocalRoom
For 1-N DM rooms this isn't, as there the colour is based on the room ID which is unknown until the room is created

Multiparty DMs changing avatar colour is probably fine, but for single user DMs it's a bit surprising.
