Project idea.....Badges and LinkedIn publishing support???

• Add badges and linked-in project submitter to coeventer.com
• Push a project and team members to a linked-in project
• Push a project involvement to a linked-in volunteer activity

Badges Badges (these are what they are, they still need cool names, and icons.)

• Login as a member
• Register for an Event
• Participation
  • 1st Year - Bronze
  • 2nd Year - Silver
  • 3rd Year - Gold
  • +3 Years - Platinum
• Submitting a Project/Idea
  • Like a project
  • Like a project your not a helper on
  • Be the first, non-owner, to like a project
• Make a comment
  • Be the first, non-owner, to comment on a project
  • Make a comment after the events end date
  • Make a comment before the events start date
  • Make a comment during the event
• View a member profile
• Look at your own settings
• Help on a project
  • Be the first, non-owner, to help on a project
  • Switch to another project
• Post a presentation to a project
  • View a presentation for a project

Other ideas for better engagement...

• Improve upcoming event notification on organization landing page and home page
• Try to make projects easier to carry forward, highlight and feature on landing page
• Highlight user/profiles
• Recent activity on landing page

Etc.

I do think the badge idea would be really easy to implement using: https://github.com/merit-gem/merit

I like all of these ideas - I might propose something along the lines of engagement for a CCF project. I have been wanting to do something with the home page for ages - feature projects, comments, etc - just better surface site activity.

merit looks interesting - nice to have a ready-made solution.
