Navigation blocks don't appear with WordPress 5.6-RC1 & other issues

Having updated WordPress to 5.6-RC1, and Gutenberg to 9.4.0, my menus in s.b/wp56 don't appear at all.
No messages. Just blank spaces. There's also a different template being used.

it appears that there's no setting for your homepage displays

Workaround

Don't use WordPress 5.6-RC1 - there are other problems with infinite loop.

I'm going to close this issue but leave #39 open... until I've completed testing the rest of the template hierarchy.
