Orlando Recycle

Green Works Orlando is a mobile application designed to raise awareness about recycling and its positive environmental impact. With features to easily locate nearby recycling centers, track personal recycling efforts, and receive badges, Green Works Orlando aims to make recycling more accessible and rewarding for users. Additionally, our community engagement features allow users to share achievements, tips, and experiences, fostering a sense of community around sustainable practices.

Prerequisites

• Android Studio installed on your machine.
• An Android device or emulator for testing.
• Google Maps API key.

Getting Started

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/Wiscarlens/Green-Works-Orlando.git

2. Google Maps API key:

   • Create a new project in the Google Cloud Console.
   • Enable the Google Maps SDK for Android and PLaces.
   • Create an API key.
   • Add the API key to local.properties file in the following format: GMP_KEY=your_api_key
