Overview

Electoral bonds are a financial instrument introduced in India in 2018, designed to enable anonymous donations to political parties. This project aims to analyze the data related to electoral bonds to understand their impact on political funding, transparency, and electoral processes in India.

Objectives

  • Understand the Distribution: Analyze the distribution of electoral bonds by denomination, geographical regions, and time periods.
  • Identify Trends: Identify trends and patterns in the issuance and redemption of electoral bonds.
  • Impact Analysis: Evaluate the impact of electoral bonds on political party funding and the overall electoral process.
  • Transparency Assessment: Assess the transparency and accountability of the electoral bond scheme.

Data Sources

The data used in this project will be sourced from publicly available datasets, including:
