Welcome to the AfroCom AI Initiative! This open-source project aims to harness Collective Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence to foster user well-being, collaborative problem-solving, and community development within the global Afro-community (Africa & the Diaspora) through the AfroCom platform.
The AfroCom AI Initiative leverages collective and artificial intelligence to enhance user experiences and promote community development. Our key objectives include:

- Fostering Collaborative Problem-Solving: Connecting users with similar interests, promoting collaborative projects, and highlighting community issues.
- Supporting Community Development: Offering personalized content curation, mapping community assets, and providing analytics for program impact.
- Sentiment Analysis: Monitor and understand user emotions to offer personalized mental health resources.
- Mental Health Chatbot: Provide real-time assistance and resources for mental health support.
- Content Moderation: Detect and address harmful or distressing content to maintain a safe community environment.
- Recommendation Systems: Connect users with similar interests and goals for collaborative projects.
- Collaborative Ideation Platform: Facilitate idea proposals, discussions, and refinements using AI-driven insights.
- Community Issue Tracking: Identify and highlight trending community issues for timely and relevant discussions.

- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/ubujima/Aki.git cd Aki
- Create a virtual environment and activate it:
python3 -m venv venv source venv/bin/activate
- Install the required dependencies:
pip install -r requirements.txt
- Prepare your data and configure settings as required.
- Train models or run the application:
python run.py
