I'm running the latest version of Path of Building and I've verified this by checking the changelog
Check for duplicates
I've checked for duplicate open and closed issues by using the search function of the issue tracker
Check for support
I've checked that the calculation is supposed to be supported. If it isn't please open a feature request instead (Red text is a feature request).
What is the value from the calculation in-game?
Only hits and ailments can check conditions on the enemy. Non-ailment DoT can't benefit from a stat that needs to check the enemy for ES. I've submitted a bug report about the incorrect wording here, which includes an ingame demonstration with Decay Support.
What is the value from the calculation in Path of Building?
The mastery applies to all chaos damage, even non-ailment chaos DoT that doesn't calculate base damage against a specific enemy, like CA's Caustic Ground.
How to reproduce the issue
Add Arc
Add Decay (support)
Allocate the Chaos mastery passive
Confirm that checking 'Does the enemy have energy shield' affects Decay DPS - it should not
Check version
