The aim of this project is to design and implement a secure, efficient, and user-friendly online campus opinion poll system.

Scope of the Study

The scope of this study is limited to the design and implementation of an online campus opinion poll system for Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State. It focuses on:

  • Developing a web-based platform for students to share opinions on campus issues.
  • Creating a secure and anonymous interface for responding to surveys.
  • Designing a user-friendly interface for administrators to post questions and view results.
  • Testing and evaluating the system with a pilot group at Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State.

Installation

  1. Clone the Repository
    git clone https://github.com/yourusername/online-campus-opinion-poll-system.git
    cd online-campus-opinion-poll-system
    
  2. Install Dependencies Make sure you have Composer installed, then run:
    composer install
    
    
  3. Environment Setup Copy the .env.example file to .env and set up your database credentials.
    cp .env.example .env
    
    
  4. Generate Application Key
    php artisan key:generate
    
    
  5. Migrate the Database
    php artisan migrate
    
    
  6. Run the Application
    php artisan serve
    

Access the application at http://localhost:8000.
