Detect when arrow key pressed.

Is there a JQuery method to detect when a certain key is pressed (In my case a arrow key)?

I already tried keypress. keydown doesn't work too. It doesn't apply to a certain key.

Try this to see if there's a code for the key you want:

$("body").keydown(function( event ) {
  console.log("keycode:", event.which);
  event.preventDefault();
});

You may need to create a hidden input that has focus if that doesn't work.

It worked! The key codes are: 39 (right), 37 (left), 38 (top), 40 (bottom).
