Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have met the following requirements:

  • Git must be installed on your operating system.

Set up and Run Locally

Follow these steps to set up and run EduWeb locally:

  1. Fork this repository
  • Click the Fork button at the top-right corner of this repository page. This will create a copy of this repository on your github account.
  1. Clone the copy of the project in your local system
  • Following are the steps to clone the repo in your local system:
  1. Navigate to the main page of the forked repository on your github account.
  2. click on <> Code.
  3. Copy the URL of the repository.
  4. Open git bash and change the current working directory to the location where you want the cloned directory by command bash cd <Directory_name> .
  5. Clone the repository by using the following commands:

Linux and macOS:

sudo git clone https://github.com/codewithsadee/eduweb.git

Windows:

git clone https://github.com/codewithsadee/eduweb.git

Create new branch

  1. Check the remotes for the Repository.
  2. Create a new branch using the command:
git checkout -b <your_branch_name>

Now you are all set to perform the desired changes to the codebase.

Track and Commit changes

  1. After you have made your changes, track them by the command:
git add .
  1. Commit your changes with a relevant commit message.
git commit -m "Message"
  1. Push the committed changes in your feature branch to your remote repo.
git push -u origin <your_branch_name>

Making a PR

-To create a pull request, go to your forked repository on GitHub and click on Compare & pull request.
