This page documents possible ways of installing M5Core2 with HomePoint in (European) standard 55mm frame:

M5Core2 needs 5V power supply - HI-Link 3W AC-DC module is suitable for this purpose.

If you have electric box/can available beneath the M5Core2 you can tape the psu to the back of "M5 bottom" or "M5 proto" like this:

Mounting holes of "M5 bottom" fit screw holes in drywall electrical box/can which is the best option for drywall installation: image

If you mount to the wall then the PSU can be hidden in other box - it is good idea to use pocket-type boxes which extend within the wall for this purpose:

Then you can route the 5V cable through the switch (here is Schneider Merten M):

Then prepare the frame - in case of Merten M you need to break off the inner part normally intended to hold the frame by switching module:

You may need to cut some vias for the cables to make the frame fit nicely:

Small screws with plugs will fix the M5 bottom with adequate force. Make sure you do not drill into any wires - rather use screwdriver and manually drill the hole.

A proper frame hides the wire. I can recommend Schneider Merten M:
