Enhancement: Provide sdk in Podfile form #2
Comments
Thanks for your suggestion, I will find time to make one, thanks |
It would help a lot I think. The proper repo took some time for me to find.
I made some attempts on my own to do it but haven’t succeeded.
Cocoapods builds from source and integrates into a workspace allowing debugging.
The other popular dependency manager is Carthage, but is non centralized and doesn’t require anything on the framework developer side to support.

I see, thanks. ;-) |
If you have problems I might be able to assist. But I think my issues might have been related to not having all the original source to build from.
There is a way to have it use precompiled libs, but I haven’t made a pod that does that myself.
There is info on how it works at cocoapods.org under creating a pod.
I personally prefer Carthage these days, but our project prefers cocoapods.
And cocoapods has the advantage of lib discovery, a lot like gem for Ruby.

Cocoapods support would make debugging issues much easier as well as discovery and integration of the sdk.
