Covid-19 and Stop and search Dashboard
This is a Dash app that visualizes COVID-19 data and Police Stop and search statistics in UK cities.
The UK COVID-19 and Police Stop and Search Dashboards provide valuable insights into the COVID-19 pandemic and police stop and search practices in the UK.
The COVID-19 Dashboard allows users to drill down and filter data by date, town, and age group, providing a detailed view of daily infection rates and percentage change rates in selected cities.
The Stop and Search Dashboard displays stop and search statistics for Cleveland and Northumbria Police forces for the month of August 2021, including the total number of stop and searches conducted, total arrests made, and breakdowns by gender, age group, and ethnic group.
To install and run the app, you will need to have Python and Dash library installed on your system and also connect your system to internet to access the bootstrap component through CDN.
You will also need to install any other dependencies listed in the requirements.txt file using the following commands:
pip install -r requirements.txt
Once you have all the necessary dependencies installed, you can clone the repository and run the app locally by executing the following commands:
python index.py
After running the program, it can be accessed locally on the browser through localhost (http://127.0.0.1:8050/)
To use the app, simply open a web browser and navigate to the URL where the app is hosted Dashboard app.
You will be presented with a login page, login with the login details provided below.
You will be required to sign in into the dashboard that allows you to explore different aspects of the COVID-19 and the police stop and search data in UK cities.
