Schedules

After Effective Date BivitattusDB will follow the release schedule as scene below. Version numbers will hold the form Build.Major.Minor.Fix

Build

The build section will be a yearly release on the 1st of August of each year (tenative). These release changes will include the official release of beta features that were mentioned and tested in the previous build. At the release of this build, the inferior numbers will be reset to 0. Build.0.0.0 will likely be the most stable release.

Major

The Major branch will be used for deployment and rollbacks of beta features that users have requested. If a major release is made, then all inferior numbers will be set to 0. Build.Major will likely not be stable.

Minor

The minor branch will be used for deployment of changes to features that affect syntax of the database language. In other words, if some change has to be made to a program running the database code in order for it to work after a new release, the minor number must be incremented and the fix number set to 0. Build.Major.Minor will likely be more stable than Build.Major.

Fix

The fix branch is reserved for bug fixes that do not affect syntax of the language. These include security and logical error fixes. These releases will probably be more stable than Build.Major.Minor
