 Nicolai Karcher has been a postdoc in the Zeller lab since May 2022. Before that, he did his PhD with Nicola Segata (University of Trento, Italy) in collaboration with the Zeller lab. For his PhD work he used shotgun metagenomics data to study strain-level variation and strain transmission characteristics of human gut bacteria.
